Overview
Spectacle connects to Zoho Crm in about 5 minutes and attributes every contact, account, and deal to the marketing touchpoints that came before it. Zoho records that a deal moved a stage. Spectacle records the Google Ads click 3 months earlier, the colleagues from the same account who visited since, and the LinkedIn campaign that reached the first of them, and reports the deal's value against what each of those touchpoints cost.
At a glance
- Category: Crm
- Setup time: About 5 minutes; field mapping is optional
- Authentication: OAuth, authorised from your Zoho account
- Zoho plan: All Zoho Crm editions
- Spectacle plan: All Spectacle plans (Essential, Scale, Enterprise); company-level attribution on Scale and Enterprise
- Direction: Zoho Crm → Spectacle over webhooks. Deal milestones then go Spectacle → ad platforms as conversions and audiences. Nothing is written back into Zoho
- Objects: Contacts, accounts, deals, and any custom fields on contacts and accounts that you nominate
- Sync: Real time, as records are created and updated
- Docs: /docs/zoho-crm
The gap in Zoho Crm's own reporting
Zoho Crm has a Lead Source field, and it is only ever as good as whatever wrote it. A rep picks from a dropdown weeks after the fact; a web form writes whatever the last link carried. Neither knows about the paid search ad in March that started the whole thing, the three docs pages read in April, or the branded search that brought the person back to convert in May.
Zoho's own analytics then reports faithfully on that field. Pipeline by lead source looks precise and is mostly a record of what people typed. The channel that is actually producing revenue and the channel that merely gets typed in are indistinguishable, and the ad platforms carry on optimising for form fills rather than for deals.
Spectacle sits underneath: a first-party tracking snippet on your site, your ad accounts connected for cost, and Zoho record changes turned into attribution events on the same timeline.
What syncs
- Contacts: Zoho Crm: Contact Created events, with contact id, first and last name, email, phone, and title, so website visitors resolve to Crm contacts
- Accounts: Zoho Crm: Account Created events, with account id, name, and website, so contacts roll up to the account journey
- Deals: Zoho Crm: Deal Created and Deal Updated events, with deal name, value, currency, and stage — one event per stage change, synced to the associated contact
- Custom fields: Any contact or account fields you nominate become filterable properties in Spectacle. A user id field and a company id field can be mapped for identity stitching against your own system
- Associations: Contact-to-account links are followed, so account-level attribution works without extra configuration
The connection settings and the full property list live in the Zoho Crm docs. This page summarizes; Docs is the source of truth.
What you get
- A source for every Zoho lead, filled in by the journey. No reliance on a rep choosing a lead source. The Google Ads keyword, the LinkedIn campaign, or the organic post is already on the timeline when the contact is created.
- Deal value by channel, campaign, and keyword. Stage changes with value and currency flow in as they happen, so pipeline and won value are reported against the touchpoints that produced them, across first-touch, last-touch, linear, and U-shaped models.
- Account-level journeys. Every contact at the same account on one timeline (Scale and Enterprise plans), so a deal with 4 stakeholders is credited to the campaign that reached the first one.
- Your fields, not new ones. Custom fields you already maintain come across as properties you can filter and segment on. Nothing has to be restructured to make attribution work.
- Cost per contact and per won deal by channel. Ad spend from Google, LinkedIn, Meta, Microsoft Advertising, and OpenAI joined to Zoho outcomes, and Zoho milestones sent back as conversions and audiences so bidding optimises for pipeline.
Pairs with
Zoho Crm + Google Ads · Zoho Crm + LinkedIn Ads · Zoho Crm + Calendly for the meetings in front of the deal · Zoho Crm + Stripe for what is actually paid
- Connect Zoho Crm. Settings → Integrations → Zoho Crm → Connect, from your Spectacle workspace, then authorise Spectacle from your Zoho account.
- Map the fields you care about (optional). Point Spectacle at a user id field on contacts and a company id field on accounts for identity stitching, and nominate any custom contact or account fields to sync.
- Journeys fill in. Contact, account, and deal changes arrive over webhooks and are stitched to the visits already recorded on your site.
